Whether you manufacture stamped and formed parts from wire or strip material in large, medium or small batches – Bihler offers the right machine for all tasks: from mechanical high performance stamping and forming machines via hybrid production systems (mechanical + servo) to fully servo-controlled stamping and forming machines.
The open design of Bihler machines offers you plenty of free space for customized tool solutions. Quickchange systems guarantee extremely short retooling times. With the servo stamping and forming machines, you manufacture traditional stamped and formed parts with the highest productivity, retool in mere minutes and respond flexibly to short-term customer requirements. All machine types are operated easily and safely with the VariControl machine and process control system.
LEANTOOL System
With the new LEANTOOL for RM-NC and GRM-NC servo stamping and forming machines, you implement new tools easier, faster and cheaper. Thanks to the perfect consistency from planning via design and construction right up to production, you achieve extremely short implementation times, costs reduced by 70% compared to forming tools on mechanical machines as well as a very fast “time-to-market“ for new products, even for the smallest batch sizes.
Due to the high degree of standardization, the number of LEANTOOL components is around 20 parts, with a 50% share of standard parts, and individual tool parts are reduced to a minimum. The straightforward design methodology of the bNX Software simplifies and shortens the design phase drastically. After manufacturing and quickly mounting the tool, the servo stamping and forming machines produce up to 300 precision parts per minute.


Bihler Software bNX
The bNX Bihler Technology Software is a worldwide unique solution and supports designs for stamping and forming, progressive equipment and wire structures. The consistent bNX process starts with customer inquiries and quotations, and extends beyond 3D stage method plan, strip design, tool design, kinematics and simulation all the way to the output of the movement profile and its entry in the VC 1 control system.
Users benefit from the straightforward design methodology, shortest design times and low design costs. It is a fundamental part of the LEANTOOL system and offers an easier, faster and more affordable transparent solution for users to create new tools.
Better welding
For over 50 years, Bihler has been integrating resistance welding processes in automation solutions. Intelligent welding control systems and powerful welding units guarantee highest levels of productivity, excellent welding quality and maximum process reliability. Mechanical and servo-controlled Bihler contact welding units are designed for reliable mass production of contact components with up to 800 welds per minute. The “Quickchange” rapid change system reduces setup times to 1/10th compared to conventional units.
The new B 20K welding control system combines all process, measurement and monitoring systems into one comprehensive system. Stepless welding frequency adjustment between 1,000 and 20,000 Hz guarantees a highly dynamic and even finer control for even better resistance welding results. From micro to macro welding processes, from resistance soldering processes to heating processes such as annealing, the B 20K covers an immense range of applications. Furthermore, up to 18 servo axes for e.g. controlling contact welding equipment can also be used to integrate press applications and other options in the B 20K.


Stamping and forming PLUS
This presentation describes four application examples to demonstrate the advantages of Bihler servo technology for assembly production. The modular production and assembly systems of the BIMERIC series convince with flexible deployment options and extremely short, 100% reproducible setup operations. This makes an efficient and economical production of small and medium batch sizes as well as many product variants feasible.
The continuous flow production from raw material through to completely assembled modules on a BIMERIC BM shortens the process chain and enhances its value creation significantly. The BIMERIC SP (machine combination of servo press and BIMERIC) offers you the additional ability to equalize progressive servo press processes with easy accessibility in the BIMERIC platform (e.g. thread forming, screw insertion, contact welding, etc.). This increases productivity and saves time and logistics costs.
