Überlingen - Success through entrepreneurial vision: Bihler has been awarded as one of the most innovative companies in the German SME sector at the German SME Summit. Mentor Ranga Yogeshwar handed CEO Manfred Grundner the "Top 100" seal that has been awarded for over 23 years. Because at Bihler, innovative strength is an integral part of the business model. Almost every system built by Bihler is an innovation in itself. Consequently, Bihler achieved 75% of its turnover in the past year with innovations and improvements.
Many ideas from employees
The strengths of innovation management include a work environment promoting new ideas along with the organization of the development processes. A central element is the "iPool" idea management system. Using this platform, employees can submit ideas and suggestions. An innovation committee reviews whether a proposal is actually implemented, while a specially recruited member of staff monitors the implementation. The best suggestions will receive a prize. "Our great ideas and their rapid implementation are a key competitive factor for us," explains CEO Mathias Bihler. "That's why we invest a lot of time and effort in our innovation management. We rely on the creativity of all our employees. They deserve my thanks for being awarded the "Top 100 Award."
